  If suffering is redemptive in Christ, should we really expect healing? In this week’s book club, we talk about the two ways the Bible speaks of suffering, and pray for physical healing.     The next series, Cherished, is postponed for a couple of weeks, until I can get the website back in order.   How do you identify your primary attachment need; where is the line between doing “all things with great love” and being perfectionist; what about judgmental attitudes? And a one-on-one with one who battles control issues with adult children.

  This week we talked about codependency, prodependency, enabling, and other issues related to proper posture in marriage authority issues. How does God use pop quizzes to address issues in our marriages to heal us of our authority wounds?

  God’s invitation for you to work with Him always affects those around you, and they will not always understand or support your efforts to grow and change out of old, destructive, but comfortable ways. How do we manage their expectations and needs while also addressing our own? We’re moving into chapter three of Just Rest, addressing our emotions and the logistics of healing in the midst of other important relationships. 

  Where do I begin? How can I tell the difference between demonic attack and pop quizzes? How do I continue to heal? How do I determine my predominant fault?   An anxiety checklist ( get yours here ), our three brains, “growing a set,” hearing God speak and discerning His will, a one-on-one with a brave and hurting soul, finding your purpose, and best Scripture and journaling practices were on this week’s book club agenda. Below is the audio from our meeting. Next week I hope to provide video, but this week’s meeting showed a huge grid of participants that made it hard to follow, especially during the one-on-one. So only audio this week, and we’ll try to provide video, too, next week.  If you were left in the waiting room, I expected about half of those registered to show up (Surprise! It seems almost all of you did.), and the list of participants was so long, we did not see you there. We will do a better job next week of keeping an eye on the waiting room, but come early; we close the room at 6:35 CST.
